Knitting has always been a way to express myself. It first started when my mother taught me how to knit in the garden of our house in Thessaloniki, Greece. All the women in my family knitted, and quite fine knitters they were! As a child I was amazed by the procedure – a few balls of yarn being turn into a piece of garment, almost just like magic!
The years passed, I learned new techniques and developed the ones that were taught to me by the previous generation. One could find me knitting in any possible place, at all times, as knitting to me has been a passe-temps, a way to express my creativity, a refuge during hard times and a means to keep me going.
Now, I have passed the knowledge on to the new generation, my daughter, and keep on learning and being inspired by what life brings to my door. I have created a number of products, along with my daughter, combining classic designs with simplicity, practicality, colours and a touch of ourselves, thus maintaining the tradition and artistry of long gone times.
